2018 Erie County Amateur Championship
Host: Erie County, mark Poloncarz (County Executive)
Site: Grover Cleveland Golf Course
Date: July 7-8, 2018 (Morning tee times)
Entry Fee: $75 (Includes lunch, does not include cart)
Deadline: Monday, July 2nd at 5:00pm
Eligibility
This championship is open to male and female amateur golfers who meet the following requirements:
- Membership: Be a member of the BDGA, defined as either belonging to (1) an BDGA member club or (2) the 2018 BDGA Associate Member Program.
- Ages: See "Divisions" below.
- Handicap Index: There are no Handicap Index requirements.
There is no requirement to be a resident of Erie County.
Divisions
Players will register for one of the five divisions listed below. Players will not be permitted to change divisions after the close of entries.
- Men's Open Division
- Men's Senior Division (ages 50+)
- Women's Division
- Boys' Junior Division (18 & Under)
- Girls' Junior Division (18 & Under)
Format
The format for this championship is 36 holes of individual stroke play.
BDGA Points
This is a BDGA points event and is part of the Oncore Golf Race for the Porter Cup and L&M Financial Race for the Senior Porter Cup. Full points information can be found in the "Points List and Past Results" link on the website.
NOTE: If you are 50+ years old, you only receive points in the division you sign up for. If you play in the Open Division, you will not receive points in the Senior Division, and vice versa.
Ties
If there is a tie for the winner in any division, a sudden-death will be used unless it is impossible due to darkness or course unavailability. Otherwise, ties will be broken using the USGA method of matching scorecards, which compares the last nine holes (10-18), then last six holes (13-18), last three holes (16-18), and last hole (18).
Entry Deadline
July 2, 2018 at 5:00pm. Late entries will not be accepted.
Refund Policy
The entry fee will be refunded if a player withdraws prior to the close of entries, less a $20 service fee.
